Description

These crispy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Fries are made in the air fryer for a healthier take on a classic side dish. Coated with garlic, Parmesan cheese, and herbs, theyโ€™re easy to make and pair perfectly with your favorite dipping sauces.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes
    • Wash and peel the potatoes (optional), then cut them into 1/4-inch thick fries.
    • Soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Season the Fries
    • In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Air Fry the Fries
    • Preheat the air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
    • Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  4. Add Parmesan
    • Increase the temperature to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes until golden and crispy.
    • Remove the fries, then toss them with grated Parmesan cheese while still hot.
  5. Serve
    • Garnish with chopped parsley (if using) and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, make sure the fries are evenly spaced in the air fryer. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • You can substitute russet potatoes with Yukon Gold for a creamier texture.
