- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Butter or cooking spray for greasing
- Powdered sugar and maple syrup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, maple syrup (or brown sugar), vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and gently stir to coat all pieces evenly. Let soak for 5–10 minutes.
- Spoon the soaked bread evenly into the prepared muffin cups, pressing down gently to compact slightly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
- Cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm with powdered sugar or maple syrup if desired.
