Description
This guacamole is creamy, zesty, and packed with flavor from fresh lime juice, garlic, onion, and cilantro. Perfectly balanced and always a hit, it’s the kind of guac that disappears fast. Serve it with chips, tacos, burritos, or spoon it right on top of everything!
Ingredients
-
3 ripe avocados
-
1 small lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
-
1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
-
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional, for a little depth)
-
1 small clove garlic, minced or grated
-
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
-
1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (optional)
-
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
-
1 small Roma tomato, diced (optional)
Instructions
-
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
-
Add lime juice, salt, cumin (if using), and garlic. Mash with a fork or potato masher until it’s as chunky or smooth as you like.
-
Fold in red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and tomato (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
-
Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover tightly with plastic wrap (press it against the surface of the guacamole) and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
-
For best flavor, use ripe avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure.
-
If you’re not serving it right away, add the pit back into the bowl to help slow browning.
-
Skip the tomato for a more traditional version, or add extra for more texture and freshness.
