- 1 large egg

For Cinnamon Sugar:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the melted butter and egg, mixing until the dough begins to come together.
- Gradually add warm water, 1 tablespoon at a time, kneading until a smooth and elastic dough forms.
- Rest the Dough:
- Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll Out the Buรฑuelos:
- Divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten and roll into thin discs, about 6-8 inches in diameter.
- Heat the Oil:
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Fry the Buรฑuelos:
- Fry each dough disc one at a time, cooking for 1-2 minutes per side or until golden and crispy. Use tongs to carefully flip them.
- Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Add Cinnamon Sugar:
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl. While the buรฑuelos are still warm, sprinkle or dip them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve:
- Serve warm, plain, or with syrup or honey. Enjoy!

- You can store leftover buรฑuelos in an airtight container for up to 2 days, though they are best enjoyed fresh.
