Scale
- 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional, for decorating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract (if using). Stir until a smooth dough forms.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- If desired, press a few sprinkles onto the tops of each cookie for decoration.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly puffy. Do not overbake; the cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can use any flavor of cake mix to create different variations of this recipe! Try chocolate, lemon, or red velvet for a fun twist.
- Add-ins like chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or chopped nuts can also be mixed into the dough for extra texture.
