Description
Carne Asada is a flavorful Mexican grilled steak marinated in citrus and spices, then seared to perfection. It’s ideal for tacos, burritos, or served on its own.

- 2 pounds flank or skirt steak
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeรฑo, seeded and chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, orange juice, garlic, jalapeรฑo, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place steak in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the meat. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat grill to high heat.
- Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off. Grill steak for about 5-7 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached.
- Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- Serve hot with tortillas, salsa, or your choice of sides.

- Marinate the steak overnight for the best flavor.
- Flank or skirt steak works best due to their texture and ability to absorb marinade.
