Scale
- 12 Oreo cookies (regular or double-stuffed)
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
- 12 Mini Reeseโs Cups or Rolo candies (for the ornament top)
- 12 small candy canes (or M&Mโs for decoration)
- Assorted holiday sprinkles, colored sugar, or edible glitter
- Red, green, and white icing (optional, for extra details)
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate:ย In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip the Oreos:ย Using a fork, dip each Oreo into the melted chocolate, making sure itโs fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip off, then place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Attach the ornament top:ย While the chocolate is still wet, press a Mini Reeseโs Cup or Rolo onto the top edge of each Oreo to resemble the metal part of an ornament.
- Decorate:ย Sprinkle with holiday-themed sprinkles, edible glitter, or drizzle with red and green icing for extra flair.
- Add the candy cane hook (optional):ย If using mini candy canes, carefully break off the straight part and attach the curved piece to the top with a small dab of melted chocolate.
- Set the chocolate:ย Allow the Oreos to set at room temperature or chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Serve & enjoy!ย These treats are perfect for holiday platters, cookie exchanges, or gifting!
Notes
- Swap white chocolate for milk or dark chocolate for a different look.
- If candy canes are too big, you can use a small pretzel piece for a hook instead.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
