Description

This Cilantro Lime Honey Garlic Salmon is a perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors. The honey garlic glaze, combined with fresh lime juice and cilantro, creates a delicious caramelized crust on the salmon. It’s an easy, healthy dinner thatโ€™s ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a hint of spice)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade:ย In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, lime juice, lime zest, soy sauce, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the salmon:ย Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon and let it sit for 15โ€“20 minutes.
  3. Cook the salmon:ย Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place it skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4โ€“5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3โ€“4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Make the glaze:ย Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Simmer for 2โ€“3 minutes until slightly thickened. Spoon the glaze over the salmon.
  5. Serve:ย Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, make sure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon.
  • This recipe pairs well with steamed rice, quinoa, or a fresh green salad.
  • If you donโ€™t have fresh lime juice, you can substitute with lemon juice for a slightly different flavor.
