Description

Cinnamon Roll Apple Crisp is the ultimate cozy dessert! Tender cinnamon-spiced apples are topped with pieces of soft, gooey cinnamon roll dough and baked until golden and bubbly. Finished with a drizzle of icing, this is an easy twist on classic apple crisp that feels like fall in every bite.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the apple filling:

5 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 tsp lemon juice

Pinch of salt

For the topping:

1 can (about 12.4 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing packet)

Optional: 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing the top

Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or similar.

  • Prepare apple filling: In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, lemon juice, and salt. Toss until coated. Pour into the prepared dish.

  • Add cinnamon rolls: Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters. Place the pieces evenly over the top of the apple mixture. Optional: Brush with melted butter for extra golden color.

  • Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the apples are soft and bubbly and the cinnamon rolls are golden and cooked through.

  • Add icing: Let the crisp cool slightly, then drizzle with the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls.

  • Serve: Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the apple filling or cinnamon roll topping for crunch.

  • Try using homemade cinnamon rolls if you have time – next level delicious!

  • You can prep the apple filling in advance and store in the fridge.
