- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
For Coating:
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, cranberries, pecans, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into a ball, wrapping it in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight) to firm up.
- In a small bowl, mix the coating ingredients: chopped cranberries, pecans, and parsley.
- Remove the cheese ball from the plastic wrap and roll it in the coating mixture until evenly covered.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. Pair with crackers, pretzels, or fresh veggies.
Notes
- Make ahead: The cheese ball can be made up to 2 days in advance. Keep it wrapped in plastic and coat just before serving.
- Substitutions: Swap pecans for walnuts or almonds if preferred. You can also use goat cheese or blue cheese for a stronger flavor.
