Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the bacon:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside on a plate lined with paper towels. - Prepare the chicken:
Season chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. In the same skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside. - Make the creamy sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken. - Combine:
Add the chicken breasts back to the skillet, along with the crispy bacon. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken, until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F). - Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
- If the sauce is too thick, thin it with a little extra chicken broth or water.
