- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Sear the Chicken:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts.
- Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
- Add butter and let it melt.
- Stir in minced garlic and sautรฉ for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the chicken broth until smooth.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season the sauce with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
- Allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, let it simmer a bit longer to reduce further.
