- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Vegetable oil for frying

- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a second dish, beat the eggs. In a third dish, mix together panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each chicken piece into the flour mixture, coating it evenly. Then dip into the egg, followed by the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken nuggets in batches, cooking for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- If desired, transfer the fried nuggets to the prepared baking sheet and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes to ensure they’re fully cooked through.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ketchup, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the chicken nuggets in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- You can freeze the uncooked nuggets on a baking sheet and then transfer to a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Fry from frozen or bake directly in the oven.
- Try adding other spices like cayenne pepper or Italian seasoning for a flavor twist.
