Description

This Crumbl Cookie Copycat recipe recreates the beloved giant, soft, and chewy cookies in your own kitchen. Perfectly sweet and buttery, these cookies are just as indulgent as the originals, and theyโ€™re perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Cookies:
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional, for added flavor)
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
  • For the Frosting (optional):
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Cookie Dough:
    • Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 2โ€“3 minutes).
    • Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using). Mix until combined.
    • Gradually add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Shape the Cookies:
    • Scoop out about 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie. Roll into balls and slightly flatten to create thick discs. Place on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  3. Bake:
    • Bake the cookies for 9โ€“11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked. Do not overbake.
    • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Prepare the Frosting (optional):
    • In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
    • Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Add food coloring if desired.
    • Spread or pipe frosting onto completely cooled cookies.

Notes

  • For a classic Crumbl look, use a cookie scoop to ensure uniform size.
  • If frosting the cookies, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Allow them to come to room temperature before serving.
  • These cookies freeze well. Freeze unfrosted cookies for up to 3 months.
