Description

A sweet and crunchy Valentineโ€™s Day snack mix, similar to Puppy Chow (Muddy Buddies), but with a festive twist! This easy, no-bake treat is perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup red and pink M&Mโ€™s
  • 1/2 cup heart-shaped sprinkles or Valentineโ€™s sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  2. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the melted mixture over the Rice Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl. Gently stir to coat all the cereal.
  4. Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or a large mixing bowl with a lid. Add the powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the coated cereal on a baking sheet to cool and set.
  6. Once cool, mix in the M&Mโ€™s, sprinkles, and mini marshmallows.
  7. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
  • Try adding crushed freeze-dried strawberries for extra flavor and color!
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
