Ingredients
-
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
-
1/2 cup granulated sugar
-
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
-
1 large egg
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
-
1 cup mini chocolate chips (or chopped milk chocolate)
-
1/2 cup crushed Twix bars (about 2-3 full-size bars)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips and crushed Twix bars.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set. The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.
While the cookies are cooling, drizzle caramel sauce over each cookie, then top with a few extra pieces of crushed Twix for added crunch.
Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra rich flavor, you can use dark chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate.
If you want a more intense caramel flavor, you can heat the caramel sauce slightly to make it easier to drizzle.
These cookies are best enjoyed within a few days, but they can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
