- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Topping:
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:ย Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Make the Crust:ย In a large bowl, mix the flour, softened butter, and sugar until combined. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
- Bake the Crust:ย Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15โ20 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Add the Caramel Layer:ย Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the warm crust. Use a spatula to spread it out, if needed.
- Add Pecans and Chocolate:ย Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the caramel, followed by the chocolate chips.
- Set the Bars:ย Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 8โ10 minutes, just until the caramel bubbles slightly and the chocolate begins to melt.
- Cool and Slice:ย Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cool, slice into squares or bars.
Notes
- For a richer caramel flavor, you can use dulce de leche instead of caramel sauce.
- Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- To make slicing easier, chill the bars before cutting.
