Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12.4 oz) can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for rolling)
- 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for extra spice)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Reserve the icing for later.
- On a floured surface, roll each cinnamon roll into a 3-4 inch circle. Press the rolls evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish to form a crust.
- In a bowl, mix the apple pie filling with cinnamon and nutmeg if using. Pour the filling over the cinnamon roll crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cinnamon roll crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool for 10–15 minutes. Drizzle with reserved icing before serving.
Notes
- Add chopped nuts or raisins to the apple filling for extra texture.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a classic finish.
- Use homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh apple filling if preferred.
