Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
12 Oreo cookies, crushed (about 1 cup)
Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips for extra fudginess
Extra Oreo halves or pieces for topping
Instructions
-
Preheat oven:
Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease. -
Mix wet ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, and whisk until smooth and glossy. -
Add dry ingredients:
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt just until combined—do not overmix. -
Fold in Oreos:
Gently fold in crushed Oreos and chocolate chips, if using. -
Pour & top:
Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Press a few extra Oreo chunks on top for a pretty finish. -
Bake:
Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft (a toothpick should come out with moist crumbs).
-
Cool & slice:
Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares. For clean cuts, chill briefly before slicing.
Notes
-
For extra gooey brownies, underbake by 1–2 minutes.
-
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
