- 1 box (15.25 oz) red velvet cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 36 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended and a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat.
- Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are set but still soft in the center.
- Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie while they’re still warm.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- To prevent the Hershey’s Kisses from melting, place the cookies in the refrigerator for a few minutes after adding the Kisses.
- For added texture, consider rolling the dough balls in colored sanding sugar instead of plain granulated sugar.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
