- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional, for spice)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Make the Marinade โ In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, sriracha, and black pepper.
- Marinate the Chicken โ Place chicken in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor).
- Preheat the Grill โ Heat the grill to medium-high (about 400ยฐF). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Chicken โ Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Grill for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF.
- Rest & Serve โ Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken breasts with boneless thighs for an even juicier result.
- If you donโt have a grill, cook the chicken in a cast iron skillet over medium heat for the same time.
- Serve with steamed rice, stir-fried veggies, or inside a wrap for a quick meal.
