For the Blackened Cod:

For the Lemon-Garlic Butter Sauce:

3 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

Prepare the Blackening Seasoning:
In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. -
Season the Cod:
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the blackening seasoning evenly over both sides of the fillets. -
Cook the Cod:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cod fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside. -
Make the Lemon-Garlic Butter Sauce:
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the lemon juice and stir to combine. -
