- 1 pound (450g) breakfast sausage
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 cups cubed bread (French bread or sandwich bread)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven toย 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease aย 9×13-inch baking dishย with cooking spray or butter.
- In a skillet overย medium heat, cook theย sausageย until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- In a large bowl, whisk together theย eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and mustard powder.
- Add theย cubed breadย to the baking dish and spread theย cooked sausageย evenly over the top.
- Pour theย egg mixtureย over the bread and sausage, pressing down lightly to ensure everything is soaked.
- Sprinkle theย cheddar and mozzarella cheesesย evenly over the top.
