- 1 cup eggnog
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 8 slices of thick bread (like brioche, challah, or Texas toast)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter and let it melt.
- Dip each slice of bread into the eggnog mixture, making sure both sides are fully coated but not soggy.
- Place the coated bread slices onto the heated skillet. Cook for 2โ3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.
- Serve immediately, topped with powdered sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.
