- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Season the chicken: Rub the olive oil over the chicken thighs, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oregano. Make sure to coat both sides evenly.
- Air fry: Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Cook at 400ยฐF for 12 minutes, then flip and cook for another 10-12 minutes until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (74ยฐC).
- Rest & serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray a light coat of cooking oil over the chicken before air frying.
- If using boneless chicken thighs, reduce cooking time to about 14-16 minutes.
- This recipe works great with different seasonings like Cajun or lemon pepper!
