Description

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Make the Dough:
    • In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5โ€“10 minutes until frothy.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
    • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8โ€“10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5โ€“6 minutes.
  2. First Rise:
    • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1โ€“2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the Rolls:
    • Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
  4. Second Rise:
    • Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30โ€“40 minutes until puffy.
  5. Prepare Garlic Butter:
    • While the rolls rise, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  6. Bake the Rolls:
    • Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Brush the rolls with garlic butter, reserving some for after baking.
    • Bake the rolls for 15โ€“18 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Finish and Serve:
