Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Rollups

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (about 8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough

For the Garlic Butter

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Ingredients: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crisp, then crumble and set aside.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cooked ground beef, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir together until well mixed.
  4. Shape and Fill Rollups: Unroll the pizza or crescent dough onto a lightly floured surface. Press into a large rectangle. Cut into 8 equal rectangles (if using crescent dough, press seams together). Spoon the beef and cheese mixture evenly onto each piece. Roll each piece up tightly, pinching to seal the edges.
  5. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush the tops of the rollups generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Bake: Arrange rollups on your prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. Remove from oven and brush again with extra garlic butter if desired.
  7. Serve: Let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces—such as ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • You can add chopped pickles or sautéed onions to the filling for extra flavor.
  • These rollups can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for a quick snack or lunch.
  • For a spicy kick, mix a little hot sauce or diced jalapeños into the beef mixture.
