Description

This simple yet flavorful dish combines tender noodles with a rich and garlicky butter sauce. Itโ€™s quick, versatile, and perfect as a side dish or a light main course. Add your favorite protein or veggies for a complete meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225g) spaghetti or noodles of choice
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the noodles.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  • Stir in the red pepper flakes if using, followed by the cooked noodles. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Add the reserved pasta water, a little at a time, to create a silky sauce.
  • Mix in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice or a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
  • This dish pairs well with grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautรฉed vegetables.
  • You can substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast for a dairy-free version.
