Description

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
For the Creamy Mashed Potatoes:
  • 2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Make the Mashed Potatoes:
    • Place potatoes in a pot ofย cold salted waterย and bring to a boil. Cook forย 15-20 minutesย until fork-tender.
    • Drain and return to the pot. Addย butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth. Stir in Parmesan cheese if using. Cover and keep warm.
  2. Cook the Steak Bites:
    • Heat olive oil in a largeย skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak cubes in aย single layerย (work in batches if needed).
    • Season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.ย Sear for 2-3 minutesย per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • Reduce heat toย medium. In the same skillet, addย butter and minced garlic. Cook forย 30 secondsย until fragrant.
    • Add the steak bites back into the pan, tossing them in the garlic butter. Sprinkle withย red pepper flakesย (if using) and fresh parsley.
