Instructions
- Melt Butter:ย In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

- Make a Roux:ย Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. This will thicken the sauce.
- Add Milk:ย Gradually whisk in the warm milk, ensuring no lumps form. Continue whisking until the sauce starts to thicken, about 3โ4 minutes.
- Season:ย Stir in salt, pepper, and oregano (if using). Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Add Parmesan:ย If desired, mix in Parmesan cheese for extra flavor. Stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Serve or Store:ย Remove from heat. Let the sauce cool slightly before spreading it over pizza crust or serving as a dipping sauce.

- For a vegan version, substitute butter with olive oil, milk with plant-based milk, and omit the Parmesan cheese or use a vegan alternative.
