Description

This Garlic Sriracha Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish with the perfect balance of spicy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors. The salmon fillets are marinated in a bold garlic and Sriracha sauce, then baked or pan-seared to juicy perfection. Itโ€™s a simple recipe thatโ€™s perfect for busy weeknights or a special dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (or lemon juice)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking, if pan-searing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, green onions, lime wedges

Instructions

  • Make the Marinade:
In a small bowl, whisk together Sriracha, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and lime juice.

  • Marinate the Salmon:
Place the salmon fillets in a dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure each fillet is coated. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).

  • Cook the Salmon (Choose Your Method):

    • Oven-Baked: Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Place the salmon on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12โ€“15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
    • Pan-Seared: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon for 3โ€“4 minutes on each side, until caramelized and cooked through.
  • Serve:
Plate the salmon and garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and lime wedges, if desired. Serve with rice, quinoa, or roasted veggies.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha for your spice preference.
  • Swap honey for brown sugar or agave syrup for a slightly different sweetness.
  • This recipe works well with other fish like trout or cod!
