- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
- Red heart sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Add green food coloring, a few drops at a time, and mix until the dough reaches your desired shade of green.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Gently press a red heart sprinkle onto the top of each cookie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly underbaked (theyโll firm up as they cool).
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Adjust the intensity of the green food coloring based on your preference.
