- 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges as desired.
- Sprinkle the diced ham and cheeses evenly over the bottom of the crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the pie crust.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Allow the quiche to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Blind bake the crust for 5-7 minutes if you prefer a crispier bottom.
- Substitute Swiss or Gruyère cheese for a different flavor.
- Quiche can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for easy meals.
