Description

These easy and delicious ham and cheese sliders are the perfect snack, appetizer, or even a quick meal! Made with soft Hawaiian rolls, layers of ham, melted Swiss cheese, and a buttery glaze, these sliders are a crowd-pleaser for any occasion. They’re quick to make and a hit at parties, game days, or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices of deli ham (about 1 lb)
  • 12 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the rolls: Without separating the rolls, cut the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  • Layer the sliders: Layer the slices of ham evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, followed by the slices of Swiss cheese.
  • Top the sliders: Place the top half of the rolls on top of the ham and cheese layers.
  • Make the butter mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush the sliders: Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  • Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let the sliders cool slightly before slicing into individual sandwiches. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use other types of cheese like cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella if you prefer.
  • These sliders can be made ahead and stored in the fridge. Just bake them when ready to serve.
  • The butter glaze can be customized with herbs or other seasonings.
