Description

These Ham & Cheddar Crescent Roll Ups are a quick and easy appetizer perfect for parties, game days, or a simple lunch. Soft, buttery crescent rolls are filled with savory deli ham and melty cheddar cheese, then baked until golden and delicious. With just a few ingredients and minimal prep, these roll ups are always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Roll Dough

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 8 slices deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese (or 1 cup shredded cheddar)

Optional

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon or yellow mustard (for spreading)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted (for brushing on top)
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds or sesame seeds (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven โ€“ Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare Dough โ€“ Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.
  3. Add the Fillings โ€“ If desired, spread a thin layer of mustard over each triangle. Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice (or about 2 tablespoons) of cheddar cheese onto the wider end of each triangle.
  4. Roll Up โ€“ Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle up to the tip to encase the fillings. Place each roll up, seam-side down, on your prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush & Top โ€“ Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds, if using.
  6. Bake โ€“ Bake for 12โ€“15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve โ€“ Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of black pepper, garlic powder, or fresh herbs inside each roll up.
  • Switch up the cheeseโ€”Swiss, provolone, or pepper jack work well, too.
  • These can be made ahead and reheated in a 300ยฐF oven for 5-7 minutes.
  • Great as an appetizer, lunchbox addition, or quick snack.
  • Serve with honey mustard, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce.
