For the Pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water

For the Filling:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon or sausage, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup sautรฉed onions or bell peppers (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare Pastry:

    • Preheat oven toย 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut intoย 4-6 equal squares.
  2. Make the Filling:

    • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
    • Stir in shredded cheese, cooked bacon/sausage, and any sautรฉed vegetables.
  3. Fill the Pastries:

    • Spoonย 1-2 tablespoonsย of filling into the center of each pastry square.
    • Fold the pastry over into a triangle or rectangle shape, pressing edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  4. Egg Wash & Bake:

    • Beat 1 egg with 1 tbsp of water and brush it over the pastries for a golden crust.
    • Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake forย 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  5. Serve & Enjoy:
