Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared cake pan. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the top.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Do not overbake for a soft texture.
- Allow the cookie cake to cool completely in the pan before transferring it to a serving plate.
