Description

Pepperoni Pizza Sliders are a crowd-pleasing, bite-sized twist on classic pizza, perfect for parties, game nights, or family dinners. These mini sandwiches feature soft slider buns layered with gooey mozzarella, spicy pepperoni, and tangy pizza sauce, all brushed with savory garlic butter and baked until golden and melty.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Sliders

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or similar soft rolls)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2430 slices pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)

For the Garlic Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Slider Buns: Using a serrated knife, slice the entire block of slider buns in half horizontally without separating the rolls. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bottom half of the buns. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella cheese, then layer the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese. Add olives, if using. Top with the remaining mozzarella.
  4. Add the Top Buns: Place the top half of the slider buns over the assembled layers, gently pressing them down.
  5. Brush with Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then uncover and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let the sliders cool for a couple of minutes. Slice along the bun lines and serve warm.

Notes

  • Customize your sliders with your favorite pizza toppings like bell peppers or red onions.
  • Use marinara or your favorite pasta sauce if pizza sauce isn’t available.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven.
  • You can prepare the sliders ahead and refrigerate, then bake when ready to serve.
