Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 810 pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Spread about 2 tablespoons marinara sauce on each slice.
  5. Top each with 1/2 cup mozzarella (distributed evenly).
  6. Add 4โ€“5 pepperoni slices per sandwich.
  7. If desired, sprinkle oregano and red pepper flakes.
  8. Finish with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  9. Cook for 2โ€“3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  10. Carefully flip, cook another 2โ€“3 minutes until cheese melts and bread is golden.
  11. Remove, let rest 1 minute, slice in half, and serve warm.
