Prosciutto and Brie Upside-Down Pastries are savory puff pastry bites layered with sweet caramelized onions, creamy Brie, and salty prosciutto, baked upside-down for a golden, elegant appetizer or snack.

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6 slices prosciutto
- 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup caramelized onions
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease or line a muffin tin or baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 6 equal squares.
- In each greased muffin cup or on the lined baking sheet, layer a spoonful of caramelized onions, a piece of Brie, and half a slice of prosciutto.
- Optionally, drizzle a small amount of honey over each stack for sweetness.
- Place a puff pastry square on top of each stack, tucking in the edges slightly to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool for 2–3 minutes, then gently flip each pastry to reveal the golden topping. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use a silicone muffin tray or parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Add a sprinkle of thyme or cracked black pepper for extra flavor.
- Can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
