- 1 1/2 cups cooked pulled pork
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheese blend)
- 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the pulled pork with barbecue sauce until evenly coated.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 9 equal squares (total of 18 squares).
- Place about 1 tablespoon of the pulled pork mixture in the center of each square. Top with a pinch of shredded cheese.
- Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle and press the edges together with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops of the pastry triangles with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Transfer the pastries to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15โ18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can use leftover pulled pork or store-bought pulled pork to save time.
- Feel free to substitute the barbecue sauce with buffalo sauce for a spicier version.
- These pastries can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 5โ7 minutes.
