- 4 tostada shells
- 2 ripe avocados, mashed
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco (optional)
- Hot sauce, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, until opaque and cooked through. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mash the avocados with lime juice and season with salt.
- Spread mashed avocado evenly over each tostada shell.
- Top with cooked shrimp, red onion, cilantro, and cherry tomatoes.
- Sprinkle queso fresco on top, if using, and drizzle with hot sauce if desired.
- Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
