- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Pour the chicken broth around the chicken (not directly on top to preserve the seasoning).
- Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 3.5 to 4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (75ยฐC).
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing or shredding.
Notes
- Do not overcook to avoid dry chicken; check internal temperature with a meat thermometer.
- You can add herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
- Use the leftover liquid as a base for gravy or sauces.
