Description

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Noodles is a comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender shredded chicken simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, served over soft noodles for an easy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
  • 8 oz egg noodles or spaghetti
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ground ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Remove chicken, shred with two forks, and return it to the sauce.
  6. If desired, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook on high for another 15–20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  7. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain well.
  8. Serve the shredded honey garlic chicken over the noodles. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if using.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to prevent the dish from being overly salty.
  • Add stir-fried vegetables for a more complete meal.
  • Substitute noodles with rice or zucchini noodles for variation.
