Description

These adorable Snowman Oreo Balls are a festive treat perfect for the holiday season! Made with crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, theyโ€™re dipped in white chocolate and decorated to look like little snowmen. Easy to make and fun to decorate, these no-bake bites are a hit with kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Oreo Balls:
    • 36 Oreo cookies (original or chocolate creme filling)
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • For Decoration:
    • 16 oz white chocolate or candy melts
    • Mini chocolate chips (for eyes and buttons)
    • Orange sprinkle or fondant piece (for the nose)
    • Black edible gel pen or melted chocolate (for the mouth)
    • Pretzel sticks or licorice (for arms)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo mixture:
    • In a food processor, crush the Oreos into fine crumbs.
    • Transfer crumbs to a large bowl and mix in the softened cream cheese until fully combined.
  2. Form the balls:
    • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a smooth ball. Place balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with remaining mixture.
    • Chill the balls in the freezer for 20-30 minutes until firm.
  3. Coat the balls:
    • Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
    • Using a fork or skewer, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring itโ€™s fully coated. Let any excess drip off before placing it back on the parchment paper.
  4. Decorate the snowmen:
    • Before the coating hardens, press on mini chocolate chips for the eyes and buttons.
    • Add an orange sprinkle for the nose.
    • Once the coating sets, draw a mouth using black edible gel pen or melted chocolate. Attach pretzel sticks for arms if desired.
  5. Chill and serve:
    • Let the snowmen set in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

  • To prevent cracking, make sure the Oreo balls are chilled but not frozen solid before dipping in chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
