Description

A hearty and flavorful dish made with tender steak bites and crispy, seasoned potatoes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a filling meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the halved potatoes, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme, and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  4. Add the steak bites in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet, toss to combine, and cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear on the steak.
  • You can substitute baby potatoes with russet or Yukon gold potatoes.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
