- 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and lightly grease a 9ร13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling. Donโt worry about spreading it perfectly; it will melt into the cake.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the cream cheese layer.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly across the cake mix. Try to cover as much of the surface as possible.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10-15 minutes, then garnish with fresh strawberry slices if desired.
