Description

A refreshing and tangy homemade strawberry lemonade, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Lemon slices and strawberry slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine strawberries and 1/4 cup of the water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove seeds.
  3. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Add the remaining 3 3/4 cups of cold water and stir to combine.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon and strawberry slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use honey or agave syrup instead of sugar for a natural sweetener option.
  • For a fizzy version, replace some water with sparkling water before serving.
  • Make it a cocktail by adding vodka or rum.
