Description

These tender and juicy pork chops are coated in a deliciously sweet glaze made with brown sugar, honey, and soy sauce. The glaze adds a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors that caramelize beautifully when cooked. This easy recipe makes a great weeknight dinner or special occasion meal that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

  2. Cook the pork chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops lightly with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145ยฐF/63ยฐC).

  3. Add the glaze: Reduce the heat to medium, pour the prepared glaze over the pork chops, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the glaze over the pork chops as it thickens and caramelizes.

  4. Serve: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve the pork chops with any remaining glaze from the skillet drizzled over the top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in the glaze mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute pork tenderloin or bone-in chops if you prefer; just adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice to soak up the sweet glaze.
