These fudgy football brownies are rich, chewy, and loaded with chocolate flavor. Topped with an easy football design using white icing, theyโ€™re perfect for game day parties or Super Bowl celebrations!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Brownies:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For Decoration:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate frosting (for optional extra fudginess)
  • White icing or melted white chocolate (for football laces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare:ย Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients:ย In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:ย In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Make the Batter:ย Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Bake:ย Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30โ€“35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  6. Cool & Cut:ย Let the brownies cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, use a football-shaped cookie cutter or cut them into football shapes by hand.
  7. Decorate:ย If using chocolate frosting, spread a thin layer over each brownie for extra fudginess. Pipe white icing or melted white chocolate on top to create football laces.
  8. Serve & Enjoy!ย Perfect for game day snacking!

Notes

  • For even fudgier brownies, slightly underbake them and let them firm up as they cool.
  • Use a piping bag or a ziplock bag with a small cut in the corner to make the laces.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a longer shelf life.
